GLENBURN TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Two pedestrians had to be taken to the hospital after being hit on the road. It happened on Routes 6 and 11 in Glenburn Township around 10:30 Thursday morning.

Police said 76 year old Paul Canterbury walked into a vehicle driven by 20 year old Stacy Morrison. After the accident another man, 49 year old Ron Coats stopped to help Canterbury. That's when he was struck by another vehicle driven by Cindy Long.

Both Canterbury and Coats were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. An investigation continues.
